Adam J. Waldeck - Principal
Adam is an experienced professional in the insurance industry, currently serving as Sales & Growth Leader at Marsh's Fort Worth office & sits on its Executive Committee. With over 15 years of business experience, Adam has worked with a diverse range of clients, including those in the energy, private equity, and real estate sectors. In his role, Adam is responsible for managing the business insurance growth of the office through his sales and operations teams. Adam's expertise extends to various aspects of the insurance field, from start-up ventures to publicly traded companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University and has obtained several licenses and certifications, including Certified Insurance Consultant (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Energy Risk Insurance Specialist (ERIS), and Thayer Executive Leadership Degree. Adam's commitment to professional development is evident through his recent achievement as a 2024 Power Broker, an industry prestigious award recognized by Risk & Insurance Journal.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Adam actively contributes to the community by serving on various boards for both profit and nonprofit organizations. His involvement in these roles showcases his dedication to making a positive impact beyond the insurance industry & in the community. He and his wife Ashley, kids Jack and Elizabeth reside in Fort Worth.
John S. Grella - Principal
John Grella is a founding partner at MAB, where he leads the sourcing and analysis of investment projects for the partnership. Before joining MAB, John spent the last 20 years as an entrepreneur, building and selling companies in the oil and gas industry. He founded and managed West Texas H2O, LLC, a water sourcing, midstream, and disposal company, which was sold to Gravity Oilfield Services in 2019. Prior to that, he co-founded LAS, LLC, an oil well log analysis company that was sold in 2010, and Total Compression and Measurement, LLC, which sold in 2008. Additionally, John was a partner in Manhattan Petroleum, part of which was sold to Callon Oil and Gas in 2018.
Throughout his career, John has established a reputation for building successful, cash-flowing companies. His ventures have generated over $50+ million in value through startup sales and organic growth across the oil and gas sector. His extensive industry knowledge and network of business connections allow him to expertly identify and analyze opportunities across the board.
A native of Midland, Texas, John earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Miami in 2004. He returned to Midland with his wife Janis Grella in 2006, where they now live with their children, Jordan and Jackson.
Michael J. Grella - Principal
Michael J. Grella has been active in the Oil and Gas industry since 1980. Michael is a founder of multiple private and public ventures including Manhattan Petroleum, Inc., Total Compression and Measurement Systems LP, Costilla Energy Inc., BSM Energy LP, Grella Oil and Gas, LLC, Statewide Mineral Co., WG Energy Holdings Inc., Permian Basin H2O, LLC, Permian Basin Solutions LP, and Log Analysis Solutions, LLC. Michael and his related entities have drilled over 5500 O&G wells. As an independent O&G operator, he has participated in over 800 million dollars of sales or acquisitions.
